It provides them with an opportunity to express their creative side. Kids can express their entire personalities through coloring and, what’s more, they can learn how to draw. The pictures within the coloring pages can inspire them and stimulate their creativity. They can wake up their artistic side, which can open a whole new world for them. Simply by looking at the colored drawings that they helped bring to life, kids create a whole other world inside their minds, which they will try and put on paper as well.
The Journal Pediatrics emphasized that play is essential for the development of healthy children and parent-child bonding. Here’s a coloring game that lets you fully engage with your child and get to know them better while they get some of that critical free play time that you need. Take turns drawing animals that represent emotions to you and your child.
It’s Fun and Brings You to the Present Moment, Remember recess? It was that glorious part of the day when the school doors were thrown open and you rushed out onto the playground to do whatever you pleased, and no teacher or kid could get in your way. It was your time to run around till you were out of breath, hang upside down from the monkey bars or go swinging to see if your feet could finally touch the sky. Well, the coloring book brings recess back. It may not be as wild and physical as the playground (you have your Pilates class for that), but it’s your time to enjoy some good old-fashioned fun–and no one, not even your self, can get in your way. And if you prefer to color socially, you can join a coloring circle or start your own.
